Dear Jan,
I was very pleased to hear of your interest in pursuing your study of headaches. For a period of 20 years I suffered from extreme migraine headaches which could only be controlled by strong prescription drugs. These drugs would control the headache but leave me groggy for up to six hours.
In 1970 you visited us in our home in Tennessee. During that visit I was stricken with one of these headaches. You applied pressure to my skull for a few minutes, and miraculously the headache was gone. The swiftness and totality of relief were so amazing that I still have vivid recollections twenty-three years later.
I am happy to report that the frequency of those headaches diminished markedly about fifteen years ago. I look forward to hearing more about your work as it progresses.
Love,
Uncle Leo
